Everyone has their own method of treatment and believes that their method is the best It is important to enrich your knowledge and improve. Perspective can change your treatment plan! However, we can create a common space from various fields of dentistry and support each other in the treatment of the patient. Common goals of different specialists in creating a perfect, good, correct occlusion.

Abnormalities in children in mixed dentition are reproduced or reinforced on permanent teeth. Better to prevent than to cure.

DON’T WAIT REACT!

My experience from several years of working with a growing patient prompted me to raise this topic.

The pediatric dentist is responsible for recognizing any deviations from the normal development of the patient’s teeth during developmental age. Recognizing an abnormality is the first important step in treatment to rectify the situation and requires an understanding of normal tooth development.

Do you think milk teeth affect occlusions? Of course! However, it is necessary to understand the problem

What you will learn during the training:

  • Analysis of the stages of eruption of permanent teeth
  • Skillful analysis of pantomographic photos.
  • Protocol of procedures and prediction of eruption path of permanent teeth.
  • Change in eruption sequence or asymmetric eruption pattern – what could it indicate?
  • What dental diagnostics should be performed in a patient at developmental age?
  • Who makes decisions about the removal of milk teeth?
  • What should be taken into account when making a decision to remove milk teeth?
  • How does a permanent tooth eruption disorder affect the stomatognathic system?
  • What consequences can persistent teeth lead to?
  • When to refer a child to an orthodontist?

The vast majority of dental abnormalities in mixed dentition trigger the need to move from diagnostic analysis to a list of problems and to a treatment plan.

Your initial assessment may indicate that your child has dental abnormalities that need to be corrected by involving a team of specialists.

  • Success in working with children – do you know your goals?
  • Consultation visit – what diagnostics to perform?
  • How to use the physiological growth of teeth to shape the occlusion?
  • Medical documentation of a 6-year-old boy (X-ray OPG, photos with a digital camera).

Be careful not to make any major mistakes. Incorrect intervention, as well as lack of intervention, has irreparable losses and lifelong consequences for the development of occlusion in a child. Parents should be made aware and involved in the healing process. This approach can bring the best therapeutic results.

PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE

Managing the developing occlusion is an important element in the prevention of malocclusion treatment in children.
